What we do
We do a lot of things!
Since the 70s Fusion South East Melbourne has been working with others to respond to local needs in innovative ways that build resilience, foster safe and connected communities. Fusion has a commitment to work in partnership with others and we work with other individuals, organisations and local churches.
Fusion Oakleigh Youth and Community Centre provides a range of social, educational and recreational programs for the community. The Community Centre has moved a few times and has been co-located with Oakleigh Baptist Church at 185 Warrigal Rd, Hughesdale since late 2009.
Our Youth and Young Adults programs include programs in local high schools and Monash University Clayton. We also run monthly adventure day trips and Chill Drop in Centre.
Since 1978 we have been caring for young people who are at risk of or experiencing an episode of homelessness. Our Youth Housing Support Work and the team at our Crisis Youth Refuge in Moorabbin provide not just a bed but the support and mentoring to help equip young people gain and maintain longer term tenancies and develop a range of living skills.
Fusion South East Melbourne wants to help people be equipped to actively participate in their local community, and be able to find purpose in contributing to the world. Our training includes accredited and non accredited training, mentoring programs, living skills programs and role modelling.
